Account & Security
Manage your DIMBER account, enable two-factor authentication, and keep your releases and royalties protected.
Your account is your career. Every release, every royalty, every fan connection flows through it. Protect it accordingly.
DIMBER is a curated, application-only platform, which means your account is tied to your identity, your catalog, and your payout details. Treat account security like part of your release operation, not an afterthought.
Account Management
Your DIMBER account gives you control over the details people see and the details DIMBER uses to reach you. From your dashboard settings, you can update your artist name, bio, image, and social links so your profile stays accurate wherever your presence matters.
You can also change your password from Settings at any time. Keep your login email current as well, because DIMBER uses that address for support responses and important notifications tied to your account and releases.
As your release strategy changes, your plan can change with it. If you need to move between Pay As You Grow and Flat Rate, review your options in How to join.
Enable Two-Factor Authentication
Two-factor authentication adds a second checkpoint between your account and anyone trying to access it. Set it up as soon as your account is approved.
Log into your DIMBER dashboard
Sign in with your usual email address and password. If you manage more than one artist or label operation, confirm you are in the correct account before changing security settings.
Navigate to Settings then Security
Open your account settings from the dashboard, then go to the Security section. That is where DIMBER manages sign-in protection, active sessions, and recovery options.
Choose your 2FA method
Select the available two-factor authentication method you want to use. An authenticator app is the recommended option because it is generally more secure and more reliable than SMS.
Scan the QR code or enter the setup key
Use your authenticator app to scan the QR code shown in the dashboard. If scanning is not available, enter the setup key manually in the app instead.
Enter the verification code to confirm
Type the current verification code from your authenticator app or SMS prompt into DIMBER to finish setup. Once accepted, two-factor authentication is active on your account.
Save your backup codes in a secure location
Store your backup codes somewhere private and durable, such as a password manager or encrypted secure note. Do not keep your only copy on the same device you use for authentication.
If you lose access to your 2FA device and your backup codes, account recovery requires identity verification through support. This can take several business days.
Security Best Practices
A secure account starts with a few habits that prevent most avoidable problems:
- Use a unique password you do not reuse on other platforms
- Enable 2FA immediately after your account is approved
- Limit who has dashboard access to people you trust
- Review authorized devices periodically in Settings
- Never share login credentials — use team access features instead
Use a password manager to generate and store a unique password for your DIMBER account. Reused passwords are the most common cause of account compromise.
If Your Account Is Compromised
Move fast if you notice suspicious access, unexpected profile changes, missing releases, altered royalty splits, or payout details you did not update. The goal is to lock the account down before more damage happens.
Change your password immediately
If you still have access to the dashboard, go to Settings and change your password right away. Choose a new password that is unique to DIMBER and not derived from any previous password.
Revoke unauthorized sessions
Go to Settings then Security and log out all other sessions. This forces any unauthorized device to sign in again and blocks continued access with a stolen session.
Contact support
Submit a support request as soon as possible and use Account Compromised in the subject line. Include any suspicious activity you noticed and contact DIMBER through Contact & Support.
Review recent changes
Check your account carefully for unauthorized edits to releases, royalty splits, payment details, team members, and other sensitive settings. Document anything unexpected so support can investigate faster.
Report compromise within 24 hours to minimize the risk of unauthorized royalty rerouting or release takedowns.
Team Access & Multiple Users
DIMBER supports team access through the dashboard, so you can add collaborators without giving everyone full control. Use scoped permissions to match access to the work each person actually does.
Available roles include Admin for full access, Editor for release management, and Viewer for read-only visibility. Add or remove team members from Settings then Team as responsibilities change.
Every team member should use their own login. Shared credentials make it impossible to track who changed what, and they create unnecessary risk around releases, royalties, and payment details.
Each team member should have their own login. Never share a single account across multiple people — shared credentials make it impossible to track who made changes and weaken your security posture.
