Release Dates

Digital release date, original release date, and go-live timing — plan ahead so your music drops when you want it to.

Release timing matters

Release dates control when your music goes live across DSPs. Get the timing wrong and you miss your launch window. Plan ahead, upload in advance, and let DIMBER handle the distribution.

Digital release date

The digital release date is when your release becomes available in stores. Your music goes live at 00:00h in each country's local time, so a global release rolls out territory by territory as midnight reaches each market. Set the date you want listeners to see the release, and DIMBER delivers it on schedule. That date is the public launch date your audience and partners will experience.

Original release date

The original release date is when the work was first published. If you are reissuing or re-releasing an older catalog item, the original release date will often be different from the digital release date. Both dates matter, so enter each one accurately. DSPs use the original release date for catalog organization and display.

Upload in advance

  • DIMBER aims for under 48h to go live, but QC can add time if issues are found
  • There are no weekend deliveries — plan accordingly
  • The further in advance you upload, the smoother your launch

Go-live timing

Once your release passes QC, it goes live on the scheduled digital release date at 00:00h local time in each territory. You will receive confirmation as the release ships to each DSP. Uploading early gives DIMBER time to process the release before your launch date arrives.
