Upload & DistributionAudio File Format

Audio File Format

FLAC or WAV, 16/24-bit at 44.1 kHz, no embedded tags. Audio specs that pass QC on the first try.

Audio quality comes first

Audio quality is non-negotiable. Every file gets loudness-checked by DIMBER's QC before it ships to 150+ DSPs, so get the format right the first time and avoid unnecessary round-trips.

Format Requirements

  • FLAC or WAV format
  • 16-bit or 24-bit depth
  • 44.1 kHz sample rate
  • Stereo
  • Maximum 10 seconds of silence at the beginning or end of the track

Professional Mastering

Tracks must go through professional mastering before upload. DIMBER's QC checks loudness levels and platform-fit on every release, and unmastered tracks will get flagged and sent back. This is not gatekeeping. It is quality assurance, and delays are avoidable if you send finished masters.

No ID3 Tags or Embedded Metadata

ID3 tags and other embedded metadata can conflict with DSP ingestion systems and create mismatches during delivery. Upload clean audio files only with no hidden metadata, no embedded artwork, and no tag data. The metadata you enter during upload should be the single source of truth for your release.

Upload clean masters only. Remove embedded tags, artwork, and any other hidden metadata before you submit your files.

After Upload

Once your audio is uploaded, listen back using the play button to confirm the correct file was attached. A 10-second check now saves a QC rejection later.

Once Distributed, It's Locked

You cannot add or remove tracks once a release is distributed. Get your tracklist and file quality right before you submit.
